News

A new addition to our site covering topical issues and current affairs relating to the clinic over the last few months. To keep you informed with what's happening here at Elite this section will be updated on a regular basis.

STAFF CHANGES

Unfortunately we will be losing Jill from our team who has been working here since the clinic first opened in 2007 and has been a valuable member. She shall be moving to work in Reading where we wish her lots of happiness and good luck for the future. She will be greatly missed. Fortunately we will be keeping it in the family as Jill's brother Andy McCrea, who many of you will already know from working here on Saturday mornings, shall be starting full time at the clinic from the week commencing 12th October.

DR LOOSEMORE

Dr Loosemore has recently been appointed Chief Medical Officer for the Commonwealth Games. Mike will be attending the 2010 New Delhi Commonwealth Games looking after 550 athletes and staff. Mike has also recently qualified as a Consultant in Exercise and Sports Medicine.

CLINIC OPENING HOURS

With effect from 3rd August, the clinic will be open from 7am week days until 8pm Monday to Thursday and closing at 5pm on Fridays. Saturdays remain the same 8am - 1pm.

NEW STAFF MEMBERS

We have had 3 new physiotherapists join the team. Liz Wright commenced a full time position with us in March 2008 and Andrew McCrea and Mark Richardson are working with us in part time roles, alongside their regular physio jobs!

Unfortunately we are losing our part time receptionist, Emily Smith who is heading off to University and we would like to wish Emily good luck and welcome Sarah Callow who will be looking after reception on Monday evenings and Saturday mornings.

PRIVATE CONSULTANTS

We continue to have good connections with a large number of well respected local Consultants in a variety of specialities.

NHS

We have recently forged links with Vale Health Ltd. They have started a new NHS service where patients with musculoskeletal problems visit a triage centre. This will ensure that these patients are referred to the appropriate specialist. Our clinic is now being utilised to provide their Doctors and Physiotherapists with consultation rooms.
