Francesca is a dedicated physiotherapist with a BSc (Hons) in Biomedical Science and an MSc (Pre-reg) in Physiotherapy from the University of Birmingham. She began her career in the NHS, gaining extensive experience in both acute and outpatient settings, including spinal, respiratory, and musculoskeletal rotations at Stoke Mandeville Hospital. During this time, she managed the Virtual Fracture Clinic alongside consultants and developed strong skills in high-pressure environments, including emergency respiratory ‘on-call’ duties.Francesca has a keen interest in research and, while completing her master’s, presented her dissertation at Health Education England’s ‘Celebrating Multi-Disciplinary Research: Future Directions’ Conference in 2022. Her dissertation—Cultural adaptation of exercise-based interventions for South, East, and South-East Asians with chronic disease: A systematic review & narrative synthesis—won the award for best poster presentation.

Outside of her professional career, Francesca is a passionate athlete, competing internationally for Great Britain in both triathlon and equestrian sports. Notably, she finished in the top 6% at the Ironman 70.3 World Championships in Lahti, Finland (2023) and secured a bronze medal at the European Standard Distance Triathlon Championships in Madrid, automatically qualifying for the 2024 European Championships. In equestrian sport, she has evented internationally up to 2* and Intermediate level but has recently transitioned to show jumping due to injury and work commitments.
