From the very first class of Harry’s, I saw that he was a very good ‘teacher’. He always monitors one’s form and offers good instruction. Harry recognised my poor Hip mobility as a significant issue and the main reason I was unable to Squat to any depth. I decided to give Harry a chance to help me improve this although I was not very hopeful as several Instructors had tried before! Harry was determined to help me ‘fix’ this problem and after only two PT sessions with Harry and a little bit of ‘Homework’, the improvement was significant. I would love to work with Harry again and really recommend him as a Coach.
Harry has played a key role in my son’s development as a national-level badminton player. His expertise in strength and conditioning have been absolutely invaluable in improving my son’s power, movement efficiency and resilience on court. His talent in his ability to adapt and create sport (badminton) specific and age-appropriate S&C exercises is simply amazing. Through his personality, knowledge and professionalism, he has also been a complete inspiration to my son, who has not only learnt new skills from Harry, but he has also gained so much more confidence, from the sessions which have been reflected by some really positive results on court. I feel Harry has given my son the perfect start in his ultimate dream to one day become a professional badminton athlete. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Harry to anyone of any age or ability in need of S&C services.
I have been working with Harry since November 2024. I have always been very active on the sports front playing several sports and doing Pilates a couple of times a week, I was looking for a bespoke programme to help me prepare for a national trial. I have never been a big user of gyms or PTs as in the past I felt they were very formulaic in their approach.
I approached FitLife and Harry was suggested as the right PT for me as he had a good understanding of sports science to develop specific elements of my fitness. Specifically, I was looking for more muscle development and strength to add to my sports fitness.
I worked with Harry on average twice a week, once in a small group and once on a one-to-one basis. In March 25 I had my annual health assessment which included a physical body assessment, and it showed an impressive increase in muscle and loss of fat so clearly what we were doing was working.
I found Harry to be very good at understanding my needs and developing a bespoke programme, which was important to me as I did not want to just be put onto a standard routine. He was also very good at developing the plan so that I didn’t get bored. As a person that needs to understand why I am doing certain things he was excellent and explaining why I was doing certain exercises, the order of the exercises and the outcome I should expect. He also helped me develop strategies for fitness at home when I had the time.
Harry is extremely personable. He listens very well, and he goes out of his way to ensure the programme he develops is suitable for my age (I am in my 60s), my objectives and interesting enough to keep me fully engaged.
I would have no hesitation in recommending him especially for more mature females as he clearly works well with this particular profile.
