Nicola Kennedy

BSc (Hons), MCSP, HCPC reg
Chartered Physiotherapist

Nicola graduated from Bournemouth University in 2016 with Honours degree in Physiotherapy. Since this time, she has experience working in both the NHS and private industry and has experience in pitch side first aid, sports massage and taping. She has a particular interest in lower limb biomechanics.

From a young age Nicola suffered from back pain, which was part of having scoliosis. Having a background in rowing she grew to understand the importance of commitment in a training program, building strength and maintaining mobility to support and prevent injuries. This is partly where her interest in rehabilitation came from and continues to practise what she preaches in keeping active and challenging herself with frequent sporting charity challenges.

Nicola is keen to continually update her clinical knowledge and skills, having recently completed a Diploma in Advanced Sports Nutrition and Pilates Rehabilitation qualification.

News

Following hip surgery in December I have been under Nicola’s care both in person and also via video when the lockdown rules did not allow me to come in to the practise. I strictly followed Nicola’s advice and rehab regime and am delighted to now be back to 100% – I was able to resume playing golf, tennis and cycling all within the timescales that she predicted and the support I received was excellent – thanks again.

I could barely walk two weeks ago because of an injury on my foot, but thanks to my Physiotherapist Nicola, her support, tips and treatment in one week I could run again! So I can keep training to run the Manchester Marathon next April…I absolute recommend Elite Physical Medicine!

Nicola at Elite Physio was incredibly helpful and welcoming. She expertly identified what the problem areas were and communicated a very comprehensive explanation about the physiology! Would recommend her services at Elite Physical Medicine. Thanks Nicola!

Excellent service from the team, they came up with an easy to manage exercise program that had me sorted out in no time. The current covid precautions were simple and straightforward to follow and I felt safe throughout my sessions.
